From the garage to the world: Ingo Förster founded robotif in 2009, and has built the company since that time into a successful and growing enterprise.

When Ingo Förster started his own business in 2009 with the idea of offering repairs for industrial robots, he began by repairing them in his garage. His living room served as the office for the newly founded robotif GmbH. In late 2009, Michael Ettenauer joined the team as the second Managing Director and senior technician.

That same year, the company purchased a large property in Altenreuth, an idyllic area with excellent connections to the A9 Autobahn at “Bindlacher Berg”. The company moved into a workshop, a warehouse, and office spaces there the next year. At the end of the year, operations began with an initial team of five employees 

Expansion of the company headquarters

Consistent growth in the workforce led the company to complete a second phase of construction in 2015. A small parts warehouse, training facilities, a social area, a company cafeteria, and a flat for business customers were constructed on company grounds. In addition, the workshop was expanded and the warehouse was enlarged.

2024: 15-year anniversary!

Today, robotif GmbH continues to grow consistently and successfully: with 30 employees, robotif repairs, maintains, and overhauls robots in many countries all over the world!
